'My perception of CrossFit before I started.. I was a little bit intimidated and a bit fearful because all I saw was big, fit guys and girls throwing around big heavy weights.. ..but then I came to CrossFit 2147, and it really changed my mind completely' - Tenielle

Our Classes

At CrossFit 2147, we offer small group classes which are led by a CrossFit certified trainer. Our classes are a one hour duration and would typically include a warmup, a workout and, on some days, weightlifting strength work. Our coaches will assist you with each component of the class from the warmup, ensuring you are adequately warm and moving with correct mechanics.

CrossFit

The CrossFit Workout Of The Day (WODS) consists of a variety of movements and repetition schemes which will vary each day.

For some workouts, you will see the term ‘RX’ which stands for ‘as prescribed’ and means the athlete has performed each component of the workout as prescribed on the board from the weights right down to the specific movement. You will also see RX+ in some WODs which often means heavier weight and/or more complex gymnastics movements. This is an opportunity for our advanced athletes to challenge themselves and take their training to the next level.

These classes are a one hour duration.

Olympic Lifting Classes

Weightlifting classes allow for our athletes to focus on the Olympic lifting movements, the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk.

Classes run on Wednesday afternoons (4:00pm - 5:30pm) and fortnightly Saturday mornings (9:30am - 11:00am). This class focuses on olympic lifting technique and will complement the weightlifting aspect of CrossFit. There will be program which the class will follow for each session and you will have an opportunity to build upon each movement each week.

The session is structured so that athletes can come in, warm up at their own pace and follow the program during the 1.5hr session. A coach will be available to help cue and guide athletes during the session.
